Treatment of expression wrinkles
There are many factors responsible for facial wrinkling. Whether we laugh a lot or frequently vent our anger, our personal lifestyle and the environmental influences we are exposed to all leave their trace on our faces, for instance in the form of crow’s feet or a forehead lines. The natural ageing process makes its own contribution to the process.
There is a naturally-occurring bacterial protein that is used to prevent wrinkle formation. It is a neurotoxin that inhibits the transmission of nerve impulses. These nerve impulses, in turn, are what cause the muscles to contract, and are therefore the primary cause of wrinkle formation. Depending on the dosage administered, these muscle contractions can be inhibited. The aim of this treatment is to prevent the appearance of new wrinkles and the deepening of existing wrinkles.
The first signs of muscle relaxation and wrinkles smoothing out become visible after three to five days. However, it takes up to two weeks for the treatment to take full effect, and will last for three to six months. Repeat treatments can extend the effects. We treat the forehead, frown lines, crow’s feet, nasal wrinkles, smoker’s lines around the mouth, drooping corners of the mouth and chin wrinkles.
Tension headaches/migraines
A naturally-occurring bacterial protein can help with tension headaches and migraine. Often, these symptoms are the result of repeated or continuous cramping in the muscles at the front and side of the head.
Relaxing these muscles helps to loosen this cramping, providing patients with head ache relief only a few days after treatment.
